Officers

New GenBioOrg officers are elected every August. Nominations are called for in late June or early July. Elections are held only in the case that more than three nominations are received. Candidates must be enrolled in the VA Tech GBCB program to be eligible for office. Candidates may nominate themselves. There are no term limits. Any officer who steps down during the year is encouraged to find a replacement. Officers may be voted out of office by a unanimous vote of the other officers and the current faculty/staff advisor.
