The Blacksburg Farmers' Market opens every Wednesday and Saturday at the corner of Draper Rd. and Roanoke St. Vendors offer a wide variety of local seasonal produce, meats, and homemade products.

Crows Nest Farm offers the uniquely rural experience of picking your own produce. Early to mid-Summer offers wonderful blueberry picking, while mid- to late summer brings seedless grapes and blackberries out into full ripeness, and late Summer to early Fall provides delicious red and golden raspberries. Great fun for couples and kids!

Here we provide a list of airports in order of proximity to Blacksburg.
[edit] Roanoke Regional Airport, Roanoke, VA
At only a 45 to 50 minute ride away, the Roanoke Regional Airport provides the closest opportunity for flights. As a regional airport, expect fewer destinations, more connection flights, and higher fares in comparison to flying out of a national or international airport. However, considering the price of gas plus parking at one of the larger airports, the price may come out even; keep this in mind when planning travel.
Additionally, the SmartWay Bus provides a regular shuttle between Blacksburg and Roanoke, including a stop at Roanoke Regional Airport. The bus picks up at the first stop in front of Squires Student Center on Alumni Mall Road. Fare for the shuttle runs at the low cost of $3. Be sure to check the bus schedule to identify the ride out that will get you to the airport with time to spare for check in and security.
