[edit] CS-5984/GBCB-5984 - Computational Systems Biology

The course format is mostly discussion-based for current or near-current literature in the field of systems biology. The first few weeks are more lecture-based to get students familiar with material to make papers more digestible. The grade for the course comes from class participation and a final group project.

[edit] GBCB Journal Club (proposed)

The GBCB steering committee is considering a student proposal for a formal journal club. Initially, this course would take the form of a one credit Special Topics course. An example syllabus can be found here: Media:journal_club_sample_syllabus.pdf. It is hoped that this course will be available every semester, starting in Spring 2008.

[edit] STAT 4214 - Methods of Regression Analysis

This is a great followup class for after you've taken Statistics in Research I and II. It covers the details of linear regression, including the mathematics behind the regression methods.
